Big Brothers Big Sisters

Canadian Progress Clubs of Calgary Legacy Fund

The Canadian Progress Clubs in Calgary have long supported child mentoring agencies, providing funding and service support. Their efforts began with the Uncles at Large Society, later expanding to include Aunts at Large and leading to the merger of mentoring organizations into Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area. Over the years, CPC Clubs contributed around $10 million to these initiatives, helping children in need through professional and volunteer mentoring. Though an attempt to fund a permanent building was unsuccessful, a ‘Legacy Fund’ has been established to enhance agency expertise and honor the clubs' contributions.

On a National level, the club supports:

Canadian Special Olympics

Support is provided through the Canadian Progress Charitable Foundation (CPCF).

With help from CPCF funding, Canada's Special Olympic athletes are able to participate in international competitions.
